Remote Medical Emergencies;

Allergies and anaphylaxis,
Diabetes and low blood sugar,
Asthma and Breathing problems,
Angina and Heart Attack
We will look at each condition how it’s caused, how to recognise it and how to treat it both from a first aid and medical view point.
Skills will include measuring vital signs; Temperature, Pulse, Blood Pressure, respiration rate, levels of consciousness, oxygen saturation's, Blood glucose levels, pain scores, Peak flow recordings and using a stethoscope. We will also look at and practice injection and inhaler techniques.
Post course you will have authorisation to purchase a selection of prescription only medications. These are primarily designed to be used on overseas trips, however some can legally be used in an emergency within the UK.
Course is certified and comes with a manual and other resources.
